BYO

Stands for bring your own. I phase used globally but, in Austaaallliiiaaa it's a bit different.

In Australia you can actually go in a restaurant and bring your own booze. A corkage fee may apply but most if not all will have a BYO policy. Some restaurants have a license to sell alcohol and you can buy more there, but some don't meaning you can nip to the offy round the corner and get some more. genius!

We went to a restaurant to celebrate Peters Birthday, Peter Hayes. This may sound unfamiliar to some but I know the Hayes family through my friend Michelle Hayes (now Rutishauser) who lives in Zermatt. Had a lovely dinner with our BYO booze.
